FAQ:
What are the worship gatherings like?
We believe that a worship gathering should be a celebration, not a memorial service. We know that people have different musical preferences. Real worship transcends musical genres. Our worship team usually consists of a full band, and features a contemporary worship style. Traditional hymns and choruses are also included.
In our worship gatherings, we worship and praise God, we teach from the Bible, we pray, and we take communion together (periodically). All our gatherings are modern but Biblical in nature. You will see people singing loudly or quietly assuming an attitude of prayer, clapping and raising their hands or simply standing reverently. We encourage all genuine expressions of Biblical worship during our services. Our goal in corporate worship is to realize and experience the presence of God and give thanks for who He is and what He has done.
What are the sermons like?
The messages at Church of God of San Jose are practical and relevant teachings from the Bible. We believe that God wants to be involved in our everyday lives, so we present the ageless truths of the Bible in a way that is easy to understand, even if you've never been to church.
What should I wear?
We encourage you to dress casually (most people do) and relax! Just be you.
