Ron Hunt
Lead Pastor
Pastor Ron is a California native, born in San Jose, and raised in Monterey. Ron began working with teenagers as a youth minister in Pacific Grove when he was 19 years old. Two years later, he completed his B.A. degree in Bible and Religion at Anderson College, in Indiana. After college, Ron worked in an international Christian music ministry. He and his family moved back to California in 1990, when Ron accepted a call to be the youth pastor at Church of God of San Jose. After four years as an associate pastor, Ron became the lead pastor in 1994.
Ron’s passions include: communicating God’s Word in a faithful, practical, and relevant way; challenging teenagers to pursue God with their whole heart; mobilizing volunteers to meet the needs of others; and helping spiritual seekers make a vital connection with God.
Ron and his wife, Sandi, have been married for 25 years and have four wonderful daughters: April, Courtney, Kirsten, and Lauren.
Patty McNeil
Minister of Congregational Care
Patty was born in San Juan Capistrano, California and grew up in Arizona. She became a Christian at a young age, and recommitted her life to Christ in her early 20's.
She has been in community with and serving the Body of Christ for more than 20 years. Her experience and passion in ministering to the congregation led to her commissioning as the Minister of Congregational Care in 2009.
Patty has been married to her best friend Randy for more than 25 years. They have two daughters and four grandchildren.
April Hunt
Youth Minister
April has a passion for discipling youth in how to follow Christ. She loves to share God's truths in ways that are easy to understand and provide opportunities for students to put their faith in action. In addition to leading our youth programs, April participates on our Missions & Outreach Team and enjoys being the volunteer and public relations coordinator for many of our community and 4others.org campaigns/events.
April became a Christian at a young age, and recommitted her life to Christ as a junior in high school. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Christian Leadership and Bible and Theology from William Jessup University. She led the Junior High Ministry for four years before becoming the youth pastor in 2010.
